We’re here, it’s now, it’s happening, so get ready cause we’re doing it. We’re taking ACTION!
You have now entered the third step of my 4-Step Value System, where you, Queen, will bring your future into the here and now. You’re going to start taking concrete Action to shape, materialise, and take control of the future you see for yourself.
How? Well, you’re starting off by taking concrete action to well and truly Prioritize Yourself. I’m not talking about taking care of yourself, fine-tuning your inner voice so that it supports you, or being kind to yourself. You should already have a firm, developed practice of taking care of yourself regularly, a few mantras to help keep your head high when things get tough, and tools to quiet your inner critic. If you don’t, whether you’re new to the programme or feeling like you’re not quite there yet, take the time to go through the Courage and Empowerment steps, which will guide you through the process.
Queen, I’m talking about living your life as if you matter. Because you do. I’m talking about saying YES!!! to the amazing opportunities and experiences waiting for you, and NO! to all those things that take away from who you are. I’m talking about setting boundaries for yourself, whether it be in your love life, family relationships, work… even between you and yourself. Get real clear on those boundaries so you have space and time to prioritise the goals you have set for your future.
With that being said, I have a gentle warning, but I’m sure you already know what I’m going to say. This month may get challenging. Stepping out of your comfort zone is likely to lead you to feel fearful at times. This is when it will be useful to dip into some Visualization, Self-Love, and Self-Forgiveness to carry you through. So keep up all those amazing practices that support you, and keep developing them. And you know my views on this. If you’re not challenging yourself, then you’re not growing. And if you’re not growing, then you’re depriving yourself of the opportunity to live to your full potential.
But, with the warning comes the best news. If you truly commit to yourself, this will hands down be a truly exhilarating experience. It’s that moment where you’re going to sit in the roller coaster, and you know that sheer terror awaits when the ride begins to move. But when you’re done, you can’t believe you were ever reluctant to get on that ride, and you can’t wait for the next one!
Now, remember the Visualize Yourself exercise that you’ve been doing? Well, now is the time you’re going to make those Visualizations happen. Whether it be asking for a bonus, a raise, starting a new business, or connecting with someone new, I want you to start making it happen, by Prioritizing Yourself. Because Queen, too often we just leave what’s beneficial to us, what we want, what serves us, to the side while we focus on other stuff that makes up life – the job, the kids, the responsibilities, the duties, the distractions and other people’s dreams and desires. And in the end, our dreams and desires are left and worst still, forgotten about.
So let’s Prioritize. I want you to do these four things to get you to do just that:
- Think about what the action you want to take that will bring you a step closer to your goal, the why, and mostly about what positive impact it will have on your life. Jot these down in that journal I know you’re keeping 😉 Remember to consider the potential roadblocks and how you could overcome them. Preparedness is a part of the process, so acknowledging the negatives is a must.
- Decide on your timing or the duration you need to put the wheels in motion. For example, at 5 o’clock on Wednesday, I will ask my boss for a raise. If it’s something that requires consistent work over time, like starting on a new business for example, then commit time frames for actioning your plan which could look like, e.g. I will wake up 30 minutes earlier every day to write my business plan. Detail the steps you’re going to take, decide your days and times for each of the steps, and make yourself a schedule.
- Set your boundaries. Decide for yourself how you structure your other commitments and priorities, and how you will work those AROUND your plans. Not the other way. You’re not making your plans fit in your life, you’re creating a life that aligns with your plans. Have a concrete plan on how you will push back if ‘stuff’ comes up that might impact your Action. Especially if that ‘stuff’ requires you to prioritise someone else’s goal over yours.
- Commit. Make the Action your Priority. Be clear with those around you, ask them to help you to be accountable… I have made a commitment at this time and will be unavailable. This thing you need/want will have to wait until X time. Make it clear to yourself and your loved ones if need be, that you are focused on something else at that given time and how it could benefit you, and also inform them once you achieve it. Believe it or not, the biggest part to making anything happen is sheer commitment.
For my Queens who might struggle with setting boundaries and being consistent, I want to guide you to a Quick Win which will help you to start a new habit of creating some space for yourself first thing in the morning. This is specifically designed to help you to prioritse yourself. You’ve heard me talk about the 3P’s before, now you can begin to put it into action as you create a morning routine for yourself. Hit the link HERE, and remember to download the workbook from the materials tab. You also have a bonus, I have created a 3P’s workbook especially for you.
And, there is more to come! This month, for the Gold & VIP members, we have The Purpose Accelerator event coming up, where we look at our goals from The Purpose Incubator, and we go all in to move forward on that goal. And for everyone, we have the annual BreakThrough MasterMind event to look forward to on 19th November so you have some time to work on setting your goals.
Exciting times ahead Queen. Are you ready….
Three, two, one, ACTION! 🎬
