The Confidence Queens Academy

It’s all about your experience

JJ, your Confidence and Mindset Coach here.

Are you ready for some insights? Well, I guess, that's why you're here right?!

Queen

This month is all about gaining new experiences, listening to our intuition, and really examining our own feedback to see how it fits in with what we are doing and aiming to achieve.

I gave you a rumination timer exercise, how did it go for you? Remember… Keep that timer on, and don’t dwell beyond the amount of time you set for yourself. While it’s important to acknowledge negative feelings, it’s equally important to learn to spring to action when those arise. Getting yourself to understand that you can and will come through for yourself when you feel things are going sideways is a crucial part of building Trust in your capabilities and confirming your commitment to yourself. When you demonstrate to yourself that you’re able to properly assess situations, take decisions accordingly, then deal with the outcome of the decision, you gain more confidence in your ability to come through for yourself. It’s all a part of the process of getting to genuinely Trust Yourself.

So make sure you’ve got a rumination timer, and that you move on to Action when time’s up.

It’s the last week of the Trust Yourself monthly theme, maybe now is a good time to take a moment and consider what new experiences you have had. Did you take any risks that you’d put off taking for a while? Did you speak up and offer your opinion in situations where you might have otherwise been silent? Did you take on a physical challenges?… (while, obviously, being mindful of your health because nothing’s worth putting yourself in danger!)

Gain experiences that are relevant to YOU, and where YOU want to be. It is well within your prerogative, and in fact it’s a part of the Trust building exercise, to turn down opportunities that are not aligned with your values and your vision for yourself. If you loathe being at the center of attention and have no interest in developing a career as a singer or public speaker, then by all means, Trust that feeling telling you that’s not something you want to do. If you find yourself being pressured into going on stage, take a firm stance and make yourself heard that this is not something that you will be doing. If you’re given an assignment that might be sought after but goes against your values, and you feel that that assignment is not right for you, then go ahead and firmly decline being put on the assignment. There is nothing more crippling to your ability to Trust Yourself in the long-run than undermining your values and your vision for yourself.

The journey to Trust Yourself and to bring life to your own vision is incredibly personal to you. As you go on this journey, bear in mind one thing. Others are NOT a measurement for where you are or what you should be achieving. The only measurements that are relevant to you are how far you’ve come, how much you’ve grown, and what else is left for you to achieve.

As always Queen, if there is anything that you’re stuck on, or even if you need a boost, remember that there is an amazing community of Queens right HERE that are ready to support you. Share your experience below, and let us know how you’re getting on!

Next month, we’re moving on to the theme of Master Yourself, where we will be listening to ourselves, recreating our narratives, getting deep into negative thoughts, and becoming aware of our daily life habits. There is some profoundly impactful work to be done, and it’s all going to be about mindfulness and intention…stepping away from that autopilot life. It’s been an amazing journey (one that’s still ongoing) to discover myself, and I’m sure you’ll find your own journey will be incredibly rewarding as well. I’m looking forward to seeing you inside my inner circle!
