Queen
Its week 4 of Celebrate Yourself, and this month is all about experiencing the joy of being you!
I love that this month you are getting into the mindset of celebrating yourself as the hero of your story! Every little step counts. Every achievement is a victory. Every effort is worthy of praise.
Tell me something, how often do you wake up not feeling like a hero in your own story? How often do you have ‘bad days’, how often do you wake up and feel rough, demotivated, or just unhappy? Whether it’s a bad night’s sleep, a leftover thought from the day before, or an unresolved feeling that you didn’t address. There are so many things going on in our every day life that reeks of ‘stress’. Energy zappers and negative thought loops are literally always around us, but you know what else is also around you? Nature, beauty, oxygen, and life.
Not everyday can be all unicorns and fairydust, but Queen, that’s why it’s SO IMPORTANT to celebrate yourself and adapt an attitude of gratitude. It’s because you NEED to get into the habit of looking for the victories in every situation, celebrating them and normalising the act of self-celebration.
You are a unique creation after all. You are worth celebrating. I mean, how empowering is it to know that against all odds, against the things have happened to you, against those who have hurt you, you still have the courage to choose yourself and celebrate yourself, anyway?! And better still, what if you celebrated yourself regularly, and put effort into treating yourself well? Personally, I think that is remarkable and it should become a ‘thing’. Oh wait… it is a thing!
A great way to normalise celebrating yourself is to turn self-celebration into a ritual, or a practice, so to speak. One thing that I do is to include it as part of my morning routine. You see, the practice of Celebrating Yourself is a way to live and love your life in an intentional, fulfilling way. And by following my 4-Step Value Method, you will have done the work to fill your sustainable self-confidence toolbox, so trust me, you deserve to celebrate your achievements.
But what if you haven’t achieved anything, I hear you ask.
My answer is, well, sure you have.
The problem is, you are trying to measure your level of success against someone else’s. But Queen, it is so important to understand that everyone’s success is different.
I get it, you might not have transitioned to a 6 figure income yet. But you hit your targets and did a good job.
You may not yet be in a position to scale your business, but you launched that new programme, you bought on new clients, you even had a referral or two.
You may not have grown your social media audience to 5k but you’ve been posting and had people engage with your content which means you are increasing your reach while developing consistency. You may also be going LIVE, that’s a massive achievement.
Look back at your year, the positive and negative things, and look closely for the lessons you have learned, and the lessons you might have missed. What challenges have you overcome in 2022? Because guaranteed, you have surpassed your own expectations in some areas of your life, the areas that you take for granted. But, with each lesson you learn, you have a new opportunity.
Remember…
You don’t have to meet anyone else’s standards in order to celebrate yourself.
You don’t need anyone to justify your wins in order to celebrate yourself.
You don’t need your job, your business or your life to look like anyone else’s in order for you to celebrate yourself.
So, Queen, it’s time for you to radiate, and celebrate yourself.
Now, fix your crown!
